President and CEO Jim Jaffe Announces NASVF Management Reorganization

By Richard A. Miller, Vice President Marketing and Editor, NetNews.

Jim Jaffe, president and CEO of NASVF announced recent management enhancements to the organization in the areas of membership and programs, marketing and media and IT services.

“I’m pleased to welcome Kelly O’Day to the position of Vice President, Membership and Programs and Richard Miller to the position of Vice President of Marketing and Editor, NetNews,” said Jaffe. “Along with Kelly and Richard, Tracy Tilden has been retained as Membership Associate and JT Koffenberger and his firm have been retained to provide media and IT services to the organization.”

Kelly O’Day joined NASVF in 2008 and has provided the successful management of the NASVF Annual Conference in 2008 and 2009. Her development of membership programs and diligence in working with the membership of the organization by providing enhanced services has resulted in the consistent increase of new members. The success of the NASVF Conference can be attributed to Kelly’s professionalism and attention to detail.

Prior to joining NASVF, Kelly was Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Stewart Title of Northern New England. She was responsible for client services, company growth and marketing for the five offices in Maine. She received her degree in Journalism and Public Relations from San Diego State University, and has more than 20 years of combined experience in the real estate, title and hospitality industries. When not engaged in NASVF activities, Kelly is an avid tennis player and held the #1 ranking in Maine for two years. She now lives in Palm Springs, California where she plays as much golf and tennis as time allows.

Richard Miller joined NASVF in June 2009 as a strategic marketing development associate. Richard has spent the past twelve years working in Innovation-based and Technology-based economic development. He has served as the Vice President of Marketing with the University City Science Center, Innovation Philadelphia and Ben Franklin Technology Partners of Southeastern Pennsylvania. Richard has received numerous awards for his research and technology publications.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Richard worked in the commercial aviation industry with TWA and US Airways for twenty years. He served in sales and marketing positions in Connecticut, Michigan, Colorado, Virginia and Pennsylvania. He is an accomplished pilot, musician, motorcyclist and enjoys bicycling for charity events.

JT Koffenberger is an information technology executive with over 20 years of applied Information Technology business experience. He applies advanced technologies and techniques to bring business advantage to businesses. He is the Founder and General Manager of The Delmarva Group LLC, a managed IT services firm based in Wilmington, Delaware. Under his leadership, Delmarva Group provides all IT-related services to small- and medium-sized businesses.

Prior to founding Delmarva Group, JT served as Consulting Practice Director for United Messaging, a firm specializing in outsourced IT services such as email, calendaring and instant messaging. JT spent 10 years at Day and Zimmermann, Inc. in various roles, including CTO for Day and Zimmermann Information Solutions and Director of Information Technology Architecture. During his tenure at D&Z he performed external services for a number of clients, including Johnson and Johnson, Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and the one of the largest mutual fund firms in the world. JT was instrumental in the creation and growth of a groupware development practice for D&Z, as well as overall corporate IT strategy.

When not focused on the job, JT enjoys playing golf, cycling (both mountain and road) and photography.

Tracy Tilden joined NASVF in 2008 (started 11/08) and has played an important role in supporting the membership of NASVF and administrative operations of the organization. Tracy is from Huntington Beach, California and currently resides in Goodyear, Arizona. Her previous position was as a regional account executive for FastSigns. Prior to that she was the Vice President of Operations and Administration for Harper's Art Graphic Design, Inc., a retail branding and visual communications company serving clients including Albertsons, Kroger’s, Ralphs, and Safeway.
